Claire Webb
Mediator, Family Law Specialist, Collaborative Lawyer and Arbitrator
Claire has worked in family law since 1990 and qualified as a solicitor in 1998 and as a mediator in 2004.
In 2007, alongside Rebecca Hawkins she co-founded Mediation Now, now Family Solutions.
Family Solutions is a specialist non court dispute resolution practice, offering legally aided and private mediation, collaborative practice, arbitration, parenting coordination and supervision.
In 2013, Claire and Rebecca developed Changing Lives, an innovative communication programme for separated parents, funded by the DWP Innovation Fund. Expanded in 2019 as New Foundations under the DWP Reducing Parental Conflict Programme, the course uniquely included children’s voices.
Independent evaluation showed significant improvements for the 50 families involved, and the programme continues successfully on a private fee basis.
In 2022 an innovative mediation for Kinship families was rolled out and the positive evaluation showed this was an area of work where mediation had significant value to the families involved.
Claire is a Resolution trained Collaborative Lawyer, a specialist in Child Inclusive Mediation, and an experienced hybrid and integrated mediator. She is also a qualified civil mediator, family arbitrator (children and finances), and Parenting Coordinator.
A passionate leader in the field, Claire mentors and supervises mediators nationally, sits on multiple Family Mediation Council and Resolution panels, and regularly speaks and trains on non court resolution. She is Vice Chair of the Family Mediators Association (FMA) and will become Chair in September 2026.
