Her international academic experience includes studying Chinese Law in Beijing and Human Rights Law at Columbia University in New York, shaping her global perspective on modern families and cross-border legal issues.
Gabriella began her career in a leading Sydney family law team before working as a Legal Associate to the Honourable Justice Watts of the Family Court of Australia, where she developed deep expertise in complex litigation and judicial decision-making. She was appointed Partner – Family Law in 2020.
Known for her strategic, solutions-focused approach, Gabriella is highly skilled in negotiation, mediation, and dispute resolution, while also being a strong and effective litigator. She is formally trained in Collaborative Law and is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, supporting clients to resolve disputes outside of court wherever possible.
Beyond her legal practice, Gabriella is an internationally sought-after media commentator and speaker, with appearances across major global networks including NBC, CBS, FOX, Good Day New York, Forbes, The Today Show, and The Morning Show. She is widely recognised for her expertise in modern relationships, co-parenting, parenting after separation, and high-conflict family dynamics.
Gabriella is the founder of The Collaborative Co-Parent—a global platform and movement dedicated to transforming the way families experience separation. Her mission is to reframe separation not as the breakdown of a family, but as the creation of a new family with new rules, ensuring that children remain at the centre—not the middle—of decision-making.
Her debut book, The Collaborative Co-Parent (Morgan James, 2025), has received international recognition, including being named a Distinguished Favorite in the Parenting category of the NYC Big Book Awards (2025) and a finalist in the ABLE Book Awards (2025). Blending professional expertise with her lived experience as a separated parent, Gabriella provides a practical, compassionate roadmap for navigating separation, reducing conflict, and building healthy, sustainable co-parenting relationships.
